When I start to see ads for candies, colored balls and ornaments in the stores, I feel the rebellion deaf who knows being robbed Christmas.
I fear that escape me wrapped in tinsel, in ads, lights and gifts and would like to take possession of his mystery and escape with him somewhere in the world anywhere, for the first time surprise and astonish good news.
As I walk among people full of packages that pushes me, I try to uncover their faces in a flash of excitement or joy, but I only see rush , anxiety and boredom. Santa Claus has replaced Jesus and the windows illuminated by the light of Bethlehem.
Since Herod or the Pharisees, then, are unaware of what happens: as the owners of the inn in Bethlehem are closing the doors to happiness.
"came to his own received him not" (Jn 1, 11)
And yet, I know there hidden thirst in the secrecy of many hearts, as if behind the appearance of fullness, is hiding a great emptiness, nostalgia that someone tells them again a story at once startling and believable:
"" God comes to us,
not be afraid, is in weakness of a child
but it is all the strength
and all the wisdom of God "
feel like doing the job of an angel, of messenger of good tidings, that my voice would be a hymn, like that night, illuminate the darkness of the world.
I also would like to hear and hear again what the "sign" that God offers:
a child wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger.
would like to return to remind me of the strange signs that God who was born in a stable and today continues to be born in places outdoors.
The voice of the angels said to me in that direction: an African immigrant shelter, a home dying of AIDS, a family friend in which all are unemployment, a handful of tents that claims 0.7% ...
pastors today.
There is the manger of Bethlehem.
There is still hearing the good news that God gives us His Son made flesh of our flesh.
is there in the middle of the night, where the glory of God continues to reveal to those who are awake and keep open the gap of hope.
Hoping that all you are doing great, and sharing the joy of remembrance of God made man I hope you enjoy these next Christmas with tod @ sa @ s what you love and who love you.
Remember this is a time to "tell the wonders of the Lord" (Psalm 95).
thus: "Rejoice always in the Lord, again I say, Rejoice. The Lord is near" (Philippians 4, 4.5)
