Checking in my post and e-mails, I could rescue this I present now. It's an interview I did a couple of years ...
- How do you realized you wanted to be a Brother?
Well, I think that has always been the "worry" about it. I can not tell exact date, but if, moments where I thought, 'This is mine. "
Absurd or words that are typical, is something that came from inside, something that is there. I will not deny that the time came when I wanted to suppress such feelings, but faith it surpasses everything. If I have to tell you something about, I could tell that for a couple of years.
- How long have you been thinking?
Well as I said before, since a couple of years, but in my head always been to contribute to La Salle and God's plan otherwise. Something concrete. And the stronger I thought ... last summer - end of year. As I always say: "New year, new life"
- Do you have the support of the Community of Brothers?
Yes, I have them, are very excited about the project in a young man these days want to make this way of life.
To this we must add that I take in the Salle 13. I'm everywhere and places, a guy committed to the Church. For these reasons many of the brothers already knew, so his joy at the news that a former student, friend and known "wanted to be" was more like, if possible.
also they helped me in the topic How do I tell my parents? have been very understandable, and never pressured me for anything.
- What does La Salle for you?
Go! Glad you ask me that. La Salle is my life.
With Salle I shared my best and worst moments, I can tell. The friends I have, of course, are Lasallian and I met through this great family.
Salle I believe that is the reality of a dream, a dream close to God's plan, a dream of "a madman" who give their time, money and life. La Salle is a commitment, a way of seeing life.
La Salle for me is the great family of which I love and that has contributed to listen to the missed call that God made me a couple of years. (Laughs)
(Laughter) I can not, as I am sure I shall not like being inside a future in the Community. I hope I remembered as a fighting man, cheerful and friendly.
I can see myself as the typical monk who wants nothing from anyone or the organizer of all the "mess Lasallian, a teacher or a director more ... that just come with time.
- How is it made the people around you when you said you wanted was the life for you?
They said: "I already knew ..."
Some wept with joy, of course. My closest friends, I even felt like a personal decision. Others only heard and understood ....
I must say that I will never forget as I told each of them. They were special moments.
Well, I think that this question includes that of: and your parents, what do you say? (The laughs) . Well, not very well, was a shock. Not that it came to come, but if they knew I felt something. At first, as I say not very well cost them assimilate. Over time, they saw everything that I snapped one day I'd be a Christian Brother was true, and that at heart he was sorry, that was my future.
Tell us a phrase that describes your vocation.
If Jesus died with open arms, we can not live with his arms crossed.
La Salle, rather than a school and an institution. A family, a feeling, a way of life. PD: On Friday 8 was my birthday. I turned 19.
